Bybit to launch retail bank accounts with personal IBANs in February. Bybit plans to roll out IBAN-based fiat accounts on its platform. The feature is called MyBank and could go live as early as February 2026 if regulators approve. The MyBank product will allow eligible users to open accounts with their own International Bank Account Number, or IBAN, enabling them to hold, send, and receive traditional currencies without leaving the Bybit ecosystem.
USDU Launches as UAE’s First Central Bank- Approved Dollar Stablecoin. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has officially approved its very first U.S. dollar stablecoin—a digital version of the U.S. dollar. This stablecoin is called USDU. A company named Universal Digital, based in Abu Dhabi, launched a stablecoin that is fully backed by the U.S. dollar reserves that will be held at major UAE banks, including Emirates NBD, Mashreq, and Mbank. An independent accounting firm checks these reserves monthly, offering transparency.
AI-enabled scams jumped fivefold in 2025: TRM Labs. According to TRM Labs’s 2026 crypto crime report, last year saw $35 billion in cryptocurrency funneled to scammer addresses around the world.
