Former Binance boss Changpeng “CZ” Zhao envisions over 240 million people, packed with young, tech-hungry folks, suddenly charging ahead in the crypto world, with Pakistan becoming the next crypto leader.
Speaking with Pakistan Crypto Council CEO Bilal bin Saqib, CZ said he’s convinced that if the country keeps this blistering pace, Pakistan will rise as a true crypto leader on the global stage by 2030.

Just this year alone, Pakistan has rolled out the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA), given the green light for Binance and HTX to set up shop, and started stacking a Bitcoin reserve (with BTC hovering around $88,000 these days).
Now they’re diving into real-world asset tokenization to pull in foreign cash and juice up market liquidity. These aren’t small plays; they’re the kind of bold actions that position a nation to become a crypto leader in a cutthroat global race.

When the discussion shifted to tokenizing Pakistan’s stock market, CZ became enthusiastic.
“Which country wouldn’t want the whole world buying their stocks?” he asked.
Tokenizing those assets means anyone, anywhere, can snap up pieces, turning it into straight-up foreign investment flowing right into Pakistani companies.
He urged Pakistan to sprint on these tokenization plans, warning that the first movers grab the biggest wins. Staying ahead could be the rocket fuel that propels the country firmly into crypto leader territory, opening doors to billions in new capital.

“Want to launch a bank? Good luck with that. Tons of barriers and cash is needed. AI company? You’ll need mountains of data and fancy hardware,” he pointed out.
But crypto? It’s all digital, open to everyone. “The blockchain will never reject you,” CZ grinned. He called it one of the best playgrounds for entrepreneurs chasing big dreams.
He is convinced that Pakistan will become a powerful crypto nation in Asia, given this momentum.
