On May 3, Paris police saved the father of a crypto entrepreneur whose name has not been revealed, after he was held for several days, tortured, and had a finger cut off during the attempt to kidnap him that was connected to the €7 million ransom demand.
In January, Ledger’s co-founder, David Balland, was taken away from his house; he too had his finger cut off. The next day, police rescued him.
A leading suspect thought to be responsible for a string of crypto-related abductions in France was detained in Morocco on June 4th, just a few days after Paris Public Prosecutor charged 25 each for their role in the multiple plots targeting prominent figures in the crypto sector.
